Directions to the New Building

From Maryland

Head south along Wisconsin Avenue. Turn right at the light for M Street and continue through several stop lights. At the Key Bridge on the left, the street name will change to Canal Street. Continue through one last stop light to the Georgetown University ramp on the right. At the top of the ramp is a parking attendant booth where you may get directions to parking. If the booth is not manned simply continue to the right and park in the open parking or in the basement parking under the SouthWest Quad.

From Virginia

Come north over the Key Bridge. Turn left form the Key Bridge onto Canal Street. Continue through one stop light to the Georgetown University ramp on the right. Building Information

Construction of our home, located in the heart of the Georgetown campus, was completed in 2009. The 179,000 square-foot building will enable the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business to solidify its position as one of the world's leading business schools. The many modern features will help the school further excel in the quality of its teaching, research, student services, career management activities and connections to international business.

The new building includes:

  • Increased seminar, lecture and conference room spaces
  • A state-of-the-art 400-seat auditorium to host lectures as well as addresses by heads of state, cabinet officials and business leaders
  • More tiered classrooms
  • Increased MBA career management facilities
  • More student services facilities
  • Common space for students to study independently and meet for small-group projects
  • More faculty offices to make room for the new faculty joining the McDonough team
  • Campus views at all levels
  • A striking design that complements the historic buildings of Georgetown's Main Campus
